Professional Development, Learning and Courses
Our approach to education is based on the philosophy that people learn best through sharing experiences, learning through doing, and being challenged in a positive and constructive way. We also believe in the value of multi professional education and training.
We work with a team of highly experienced facilitators from a variety of health care backgrounds including General Practice, Nursing, Management and Therapies and who can tailor programmes to meet your needs.
Our methods include:
• Action Learning
• Small group work
• Skills workshops and master classes
• Video play back and constructive feedback
• Actors and role play
• E-learning
We are also experienced in delivering structured courses, workshops and conferences for continuous professional development.
Our portfolio of courses includes:
• Commissioning skills and GP Led Commissioning
• Appraisal skills training
• Communication skills training e.g. for clinicians and pharmacists
• Negotiation skills training
• Assertiveness training
• Workshops: client commissioned or directly marketed
• Development programmes for Managers including Practice Management programmes
Our programmes are designed to meet the requirements of the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) where applicable, and outcomes are mapped to the KSF. Many of our longer programmes are externally accredited. We are happy to develop a programme to suit your organisation or work team; to organise your conference or deliver expert facilitation.
